Cool Features of the World of Warcraft’s New Expansion Legion

World of Warcraft is, without a doubt, the biggest MMO in the world and so whenever it announces a new expansion, that’s big news for not only players of the game but also players of other MMOs and even other MMO creators themselves. You see, with every expansion, World of Warcraft usually keeps itself ahead of the pack when it comes to features, content and more. Therefore, the announcement of Legion has brought with it quite a few new features that we’ve seen in other modern MMOs of late that have been released or gained a lot of traction after the Warlords of Draenor, Blizzard’s last expansion for Wow.

We’ve decided to take a quick look at the new features in the World of Warcraft game with the introduction of Legion. There’s new classes, items, customizations, places, level caps, dungeons and raids and so much. So let’s dive right in and take a look at World of Warcraft’s latest expansion, Legion.

A New Class

There’s a new class in World of Warcraft for the first time in quite a few years that introduces not only a new gameplay style for players to get to grips with but also a whole new gameplay mechanics. The Demon Hunter, obviously famed from Diablo Lore will work similar to a rogue with quick, fast movements and very agile gameplay. However, the Demon Hunter will be the first character that can double jump which will be very intriguing to see if that adds a level of platforming to World of Warcraft that we’ve seen from the likes of Guild Wars 2 and WildStar. Obviously the new class will have it’s own unique weapons, armour and gear which will, assumedly, look great! To help people who may have already filled up all their character slot, Blizzard are also introducing a 12th character slot so players can play as the new Demon Hunter without having to get rid of another character.

New Continent

There’s going to be a whole new place for players to explore with the introduction of a new continent to play on in WoW. The new continent will be called The Broken Isles and will feature a few new monsters for players to go up against along with some great new lands to explore which will allow players of a higher level to not have to grind through old content to level from 100-110. Along with this new land, there are new dungeons and raids to explore. We’ll talk more about those now.

New Dungeons and Raids to Explore

One of the most exciting things and one of the game mechanics that keeps people coming back to World of Warcraft are dungeons and raids. Dungeons and raids often offer up a simple run through of some sort of dungeon which usually last about 20-45 minutes depending on the difficulty and you usually completed a few quests and then defeat a final boss. These dungeons and raids usually end up giving you better gear than you can get from just grinding throughout the rest of the world. Legion brings with it at least 9 new dungeons which all offer up some back story. Blizzard have stated that they worked harder on Dungeons in Legion as they want to keep people involved with them more throughout the expansion.

What Else?

There are many other notable improvements and features coming to Legion that World of Warcraft fans will be excited about. For example, the level cap is being raised to 110 to obviously keep the older players feeling like they’re achieving something. There’s an improved transmogrification system that allows you to customise your weapons in more detail than ever before. Plus, you can now customise mounts and armour too. There are also Clas-Specific Order Halls along with Artifacts for each class to emphasize the fantasy of each class. And finally, just to note, players are back in Azeroth after Warlords of Draenor took you back in time and the general story consensus is that Illidan has been found by Gul’dan.
