The Top Exciting Things about Black Ops 3

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is, without a doubt, going to be one of the biggest games of 2015 as COD is every year. The problem the likes of Activision now face is trying to keep the same look and fell as other Call of Duty’s in the genre but mixing it up and adding in enough new content o make it feel fresh and new without feeling old and stale. Therefore, it’s arguably an even harder job these days to make COD fans and new fans coming into the series happy. However, there’s certainly some exciting new additions coming to Call of Duty that are looking to flesh out the series and definitely give it some new excitement. Here are the top exciting things coming in Black Ops 3

A Much Improved Campaign

One thing that the COD series has always suffered with is a mediocre campaign feel. They never fail to offer you epic shootouts and Advanced Warfare took the action into the future and took down some massive structures in the process. However, when it comes to storyline, feelings and anything other than shooting people, they’re usually less than impressive. Blops 3’s developers have said that their Campaign will be far more open than ever before and will even offer up multiple objectives within missions rather than just the single-corridor feel we’ve had with previous Call of Duty missions. It may not work very well but it’s definitely different and good to see they’re trying something a bit alternative from the norm. You’ll also be able to now play these missions co-op with up to 4 other players online which is something a bit different for COD and something we’re sure fans will be a huge… fan of.

Wall-Running Mechanics

You’ve all probably seen the wall-running mechanics from the trailers and the multiplayer gameplay footage. However, reports from the Beta say that the game actually feels far more grounded than Advanced Warfare. People are using the double jump and wall-running to get cooler kills rather than simply jumping up in the air to shoot people. Let’s not lie, the majority of kills happened mid-air in AW and that wasn’t out of skill, but out of trying to dodge the other player’s incoming bullets. According to some pros who have played the Beta, it doesn’t feel like that anymore and you’ll spend more of your time on the ground.

Full-Fledged Zombies

Zombies was definitely the highlight from the original Black Ops game, bringing Nazi zombies into your camp and requiring you to shoot them to get better guns, open up more areas and proceed through levels. Zombies in Blops 3 is going to feature a storyline that will get players more involved. On top of this, the developers are introducing an XP progression system which will certainly have people coming back to play more, hoping to level up and unlock new weapons and more. Levelling up is definitely the answer to everything, people love to feel like they’re doing what they’re doing for a good reason.

Increased Customisation

One thing that people loved about Advanced Warfare was the deeper customization than ever before when it came to multiplayer. You could now change your whole outfit and look by playing the game a lot. This is certainly something that intrigued people and is why Activision are looking to bring in even more customization into the game. The single player will now allow you to customise your character, choosing the sex, their look and more. In addition, there’ll be a place for players to hang out called the Safe House in between Campaign missions which will allow them to interact with one another. Hopefully, this customization carries on over to the Multiplayer like AW before it.

Specialists in Multiplayer

Finally, multiplayer is getting more features… of course. Multiplayer is without a doubt, Call of Duty’s biggest selling point and so making iterations on this section is crucial. This year, the multiplayer will feature ‘Specialists’ which are similar to Heroes in the likes of Dota 2 or League of Legends. These specialists will have their own personalities, unique gun loadouts and even special abilities which will certainly make them an interesting addition to the online area. Whether these Heroes will be received well or whether players will just play with their own customised loadouts, we are yet to know.
